Tyre Killers and Road Blockers
Types by Operation/Function

Tyre killers and road blockers are high-security, heavy-duty vehicle access control systems used to protect sensitive perimeters like embassies, military sites, and airports. Tyre killers use rising spikes to destroy tyres and neutralize vehicles, while road blockers act as physical, electro-hydraulic barriers that stop vehicles by damaging their axles

Tyre Killers (Spike Barriers)
Purpose: To prevent unauthorized vehicles from entering and, sometimes, to allow exit while preventing entry.
Functionality: They can be automatic (hydraulic/electromechanical) or manual. They often act as a deterrent, with spikes rising from the ground.
Variants: Surface mount (easier to install) and flush/shallow mount (sunk into the road).
Common Applications: Parking lots, high-traffic security checkpoints, and gated communities.
Road Blockers (Rising Step Barriers)
Purpose: To offer high-security, forced entry protection against fastmoving vehicles.
Functionality: A steel plate, often known as a rising ramp, raises to create a significant obstruction
Types: Principally electro-hydraulic, designed for maximum durability in high-risk zones.
